This applies to Mac OS 10.7 and MXWendler version 4.2 and above

Problem:

  • You reinstalled / upgraded MXWendler - even into another folder - and suddenly USB or FireWire audio does not work anymore.

Test:

  • Somewhere in the audio driver the Mac does not provide enough information to MXW to reopen the audio device.

Solution:

  • There are two known solutions:
  • a) go to systemsettings, switch to internal speaker and back
  • b) re-install the USB/FireWire audio driver
