Problem

You created a playlist with bright media ( eg. sky footage ) and during cue fades, the resulting image goes temporarily dark

Solution

1. Go to the preload tab

2. Open the playlist preloads

3. Change the layer mode from Picture in Picture to Add (A)

Background

Picture in Picture is defined by: place media B inside media A with opacity X. During the crossfade two layers, the bottom one and the top one are faded to eg. 50% ( 0.5 ), so placing an image with 50% fade inside an image with 50% fade results in a 75% faded result.
